Dr. Adams L. Tran -
President and Co-Founder of Grace Prepaid Legal Group, Inc.

Dr. Adams Tran was born in Viet Nam and immigrated to the U.S. in 1975. He was brought up in a devout Catholic family of 12 children, where his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Phuong Van Tran, were married for 70 years (loving referred to in the Vietnamese Community as “Ong Ba Co Phuong” because their second son is a priest). Early on, Mrs. Tran, Adams’ mother, had dedicated all of her children to God, and had decided to give up her 9 sons to the priesthood. So Adams’ parents sent their children to seminary school to become priests and nuns. However, God had His own plans for each of them, and only one son has had the honor of becoming a priest.

In April, 1975, After the Fall of South Vietnam, Adams together with his immediate family members escaped Viet Nam on a Vietnamese Navy ship, then on the 7th Fleet of the American Navy which took them to Guam Island. After taking refuge in a camp in San Diego, California, and Eglin Air Force Base in Florida, the family settled in Norfolk, Virginia, sponsored by a Catholic Church. With three brothers and one sister still living in Viet Nam, Adams and his parents and seven other siblings began their new life in America.

His parents, “Ong Ba Co” Tran Van Phuong, started working right away in order to help all their children to study English and to pursue higher education. Adams and his siblings all went to school at night and worked during the day to support their family, including saving money to send back to their family members still in Viet Nam. In 1983, the entire Tran family was reunited in America. Not only did the entire family (the siblings and their children) excel academically and professionally in their new homeland, but they also continue to maintain their strong Catholic family traditions.

Adams later moved to San Antonio and then to Houston, where he attended the University of Houston. He got married and had a daughter, Michelle Tran, born in 1984. When he and his wife decided to go separate ways in an amicable divorce, Adams went back to school for four years to earn his degree as a Doctor of Chiropractic from Texas Chiropractic College. He set up a practice with fellow classmates, while developing his career in real estate, obtaining his broker’s license and opening his own real estate company, Advent Realty, L.L.C., with over 80 staff members under his direction, focusing in the concept of sales as servicing to the average people.

During his volunteer work with hurricane evacuees, he met his future wife, Tammy Tran, who was also helping Katrina victims. At first Adams admits she instantly caught his eye, but as time passed, he realized it was the shared love of God in their hearts that drew them close together. After a traditional Vietnamese engagement celebration on May 13, 2006, Adams and Tammy were married on February 17, 2006, in Christ the Incarnate Word Catholic Church by Monsignor Philippe Thuong Le, witnessed by Adams’ loving parents and hundreds of family members and friends.

Since they joined as a team, they have supported each other in their professional work, assistance to missionary work and other charitable outreach, including co-hosting a national talk show together, broadcast on direct television (SBTN Houston, Direct TV 2072) to share their love of God and relationship through Jesus to help others.

From this strong foundation of faith, Adams has now formed a team of dedicated staff and friends to build Grace Prepaid Legal Group, Inc., with the same vision of glorifying God and serving His Children through His love.
